STAFO collects and accesses Location Data (including precise GPS coordinates, approximate location, and background location data) to enable core HRMS and workforce management features.

We access and collect Location Data for the following specific purposes:

Geo-Fenced Attendance & Verification: To verify employee punch-in and punch-out locations against authorized workplace or branch boundaries.

Live Shift & Field Tracking: To provide live location tracking for field employees during their active work shifts.

Trip & Mileage Management: To log route paths, distances traveled, and halt locations during active business trips.
2. Background Location & Foreground Service Notice
STAFO collects location data in the background (even when the app is closed or not in active use) when an employee is actively punched in for a shift or has initiated an active business trip.
Background location collection operates via an active Foreground Service displaying a persistent notification in the status bar ("STAFO is Running - Tracking location for attendance"). Background location tracking automatically stops when the employee punches out, ends the shift, or logs out.
3. Data Sharing & Security
Location data is transmitted securely via HTTPS encryption and stored on encrypted company servers. Location data is shared exclusively with your designated employer/company administrator for attendance reporting and is never sold, rented, or shared with third-party advertisers or external marketers.
